Chapter 5 | Content permissions

Sitebox offers you the opportunity to establish permissions. You can establish permissions at content, folder, site level.
By establishing permissions, you can determine if,
 

  1. Content can be viewed
  2. Content can be added
  3. Content can be edited
  4. Content can be removed
  5. Content can be published
  6. Permissions can be established

Establish Permissions on a page (your-name.html)

We follow the steps below to view the established permissions of a page,

  1. Select a page
  2. Click on Change Permissions viaMore
  3. A popup appears which is displayed below
     

The popup shows that three (3) groups are present, namely;

  • Group All users
  • Group Content manager
  • Group Developers
     

Meaning of icons

The icons indicate which permissions a certain group has. The established permissions for the page your-name.html is as follows,

View no permissions Can view content Can view content
Add no permissions Can add content, setting of the folder (marked by the grey check mark) Can add content, setting of the folder (marked by the grey check mark)
Change no permissions Can change content, can change the page Can change content, can change the page
Remove no permissions Can remove the page Can remove the page
Publish no right Can publish the page Can publish the page
Change Permissions no permissions Cannot change the permissions of the page Cannot change the permissions of the page

Notice that the content manager cannot publish this page!
